Any building needs regular maintenance to keep it structurally safe and protected for the purpose for which it was built and is used.

St Peter’s Church is a large and very old building.  Most of its construction is over seven hundred years old and needs specialized care and protection so that it may continue to be used for its original designation;  namely, to the Glory of God, and for the benefit of the people of Raunds.

The Friends of St Peter’s Church is an organization that began over thirty years ago with the aim of raising funds for the care and maintenance of the church, and it has provided a variety of items for associated practical purposes.  This has been possible with the support of the people who have joined our membership scheme, to which members contribute an annual donation (minimum five pounds), and those who support our other fundraising activities, such as the Ceilidh and the Band Concert as well as the Christmas Prize Draw.

A recent venture is the ’49 Club’, whereby members pay a pound for 52 weeks, or fifty pounds annually (with two free weeks).  The National Lottery Bonus Ball number provides a winner each week who receives thirty pounds.
